Fake Comotomo in Shopee

So you have been hunting for cheap  Comotomo products and your quest has lead you to Shopee. You typed in the keyword in the app's Search tool and voila, lots of cheap Comotomo products are now in front of you. You only just have to toggle the Price tool from low to high or vice versa. You were so relieved you found these items and online sellers, that you added 2 or more items to your cart and proceeded to Checkout as usual. Few days or more later, your orders have arrived at your doorstep. You are so happy now that you have Comotomo for your baby. But have you ever asked yourself if its even genuine, original or authentic?

I agree, Comotomo is expensive. Not to mention it's exclusive. There are very few authorized retailers in every country and most of them are not in Shopee nor Lazada. I, myself have tried to purchase a bottle and a teat from a Shopee seller. Below are my disappointments:
1. Comotomo from Shopee are not authentic. Where can you surely and securely buy authentic Comotomo products? Simply go to comotomo.ph for genuine and 100% safe Comotomo products.
2. The bottles, the silicone it's made of, the teats, everything are not authentic. Including the box that comes with it.
3. Some ratings in Shopee sellers may state that the products they have received were authentic but think again. Why? This buyer may only said so, so that you too would buy the same fake products and experience the same stress, waste of money, time and effort. Most of all, the danger it can bring to your baby's health.
4. How to spot if it's authentic or not? Read the box. See if the ideas are connected. There is a 100% chance you will spot mispelled words, e.g. Designed in Calitornia (instead of Designed in California)
5. The silicone and rubber smells even after 10 to 20 washes with organic baby bottle dish soap, even if you soak them in vinegar or baking soda for more than 24 hrs. This rubbery smell will put off your child, resulting to refusal of the bottle and milk inside it as the milk absorbs the offending smell.

As for the bottle's stability, it is already a given as even the original is not stable on its own except on leveled hard surfaces.

So there, those are just a few. Other buyers may have spotted other "strange" things from their purchased products but they just chose to keep mum about it or worse, the product was deleted by the seller, from which the honest rating was posted stating the product is fake. Yes, I found a seller who did just that because the buyer was so furious about her purchase. Yes, in Shopee, it is very easy to delete a product with a bad rating and make a new listing of the same product. To verify further, view the seller's shop and from there, read all of the rating for all the past and latest items.

But here's the thing. I am not saying 100% of sellers there sell fake products. I say, some or most of them do. Review the seller's rating first. If there is a negative feedback or 2 or 1 star and stated that the products are not authentic, trust that and look for another seller instead. It may take time but it will be worth it. But still, I highly recommend and it is always the best decision to buy from Comotomo PH directly. They also have 100% free shipping from their website. If you still do not trust that, go to your nearest Baby Company outlet store and ask if they have onhand stock for Comotomo.
